Making a Difference Thru T2
Our 2017 FLC Far West and Mid-Continent Joint Regional Meeting was held this year in Sunny (and Hot) Pasadena California, with a focus on Making a Difference Thru T2. Our Keynote Speaker for the first day was Stephen Ezell, of the Information Technology Innovation Foundation (ITIF). Mr. Ezell made a passionate presentation on the trials and tribulations of Localizing the Economic Impact of Technology Transfer.
We had many speakers giving presentations from various backgrounds and viewpoints, including academia, private sector, state & local government economic development organizations, and of course, our own federal laboratories. If you click on the Program & Presentations link in the menu above, you will be able to view many of the presentations that were given. We had a special training class, limited to 20, on the Fundamentals of Marketing: Your Action Plan for Success that was hosted by the American Management Association.
We also had our annual Regional Awards dinner celebrating the best in FLC Far West & Mid-Continent technology transfer accomplishments for 2017. You can see those presentations by clicking on Regional Awards link in the menu above. Below are a few pictures from this exciting meeting.
